Can't publish, can't login to Gravatar, problem changing Gravatar image

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help… I’m trying to login to Gravatar to change my profile photo. It keeps saying that ‘to post and keep using WordPress.com you need to confirm your email address. Please click the link in the email we sent at ………’. I have done that but it keeps bringing me back to the same login screen, telling me to check my confirmation request email. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I can’t publish a post either.

I have tried deleting cookies, I’ve tried 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox and Safari), I’ve tried both Mac and iOS. It’s been going on for a month now

I clicked the activation link in your email, and like the many times I’ve clicked the other activation links sent to me, I got the same results:

And, same as always, I click on the “Sign in to Gravatar” button, and that essentially brings me back to square one:

In the latter, the original poster states: “I want to change my profile photo on wordpress.com and I have to login in on the gravatar site. But when I press the button to login with my wordpress login it don’t work. The page stays the same, I tried many times, but I cannot login in. What can I do? I tried different computers, different browsers. It don’t work.” and someone else replies: “Same here. Cannot delete account, and you can’t change your profile details because that REQUIRES logging into Gravatar, which you cannot do. And there is no support available on either site, just endless loops that link you back to an FAQ. This site is HORRIBLE!”It appears to have been manually resolved by a WordPress staff member called @supernovia, though it hasn’t been stated how, or what the problem was.

One more question please – I’ve tried to change my display name on my profile page (a while back – at least a few days ago, maybe more), but the changes don’t seem to propagate, even though they are saved. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

I am having the same problem. tmonjarblog.wordpress.com
Trying to upload Gravatar image and it asks me to login via WordPress.com login. So I click ok and say sign in and it takes me back to original screen. How can I connect Gravatar and WordPress? Thanks.

Hey there @tmonjar,
If you are already logged into your WordPress.com account through your blog, it should automatically take you to the manage Gravatar screen when signing in here:

I get to this:

Log In”which takes me back to “Sign into Gravatar…” It won’t log me in.

Hey there,
What I would try to do is log out of your WordPress.com account and clear your cookies. Then, try and log into Gravatar. That usually works for people who are having log in issues.

Deleting cookies worked. Gravatar has been present yet my WordPress.com Profile Photo is still blank and no images accompany any of my posts.

no, the gravatar is in place to be selected. It has been for a while. It shows up on my gmail profile. But when I click on Add Profile Photo it sends me back to “change you Gravatar” The profile frame continues to be empty

When you go here, and click the image icon to get here, your Gravatar image is present?
If you a photo present there, you should be able to see a photo in your profile. I did check your profile and do not see an image either, btw.

Hi @tmonjar, I can see you’ve added an image, but you’ve given it a PG rating (parental advisory.) So some sites won’t show it. If the photo is not offensive, please go ahead and give it a G rating.
Start here:
http://en.gravatar.com/emails/Then click PG. Change the rating to G and you’ll be set.

I HATE Gravatar with WordPress. Overtime I need to change or update something I have to delete cookies?????? Sit it, make it go away…..
