Can't publish posts

When I create a new post I can no longer publish it. Instead the only options I have are save draft and pending review. I don’t have any plugins and have changed the theme in twice and still nothing.

You mentioned, “I don’t have any plugins,” but plugins aren’t allowed on WordPress.com anyway.
Is http://thedoublebarrel.wordpress.com/ the blog you’re referring to, or are you having trouble with a self-hosted WordPress.org blog?

Yes that’s the blog I’m referring to. And I mentioned plugins because I looked online for solutions and that was mentioned as one of the potential causes

I’m not able to see the issue myself.
It’s a long shot, but would you please try a different browser, like Firefox, just so we can rule-out any browser-specific issues?

Would you please take a full screen shot of what you see and upload it via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard so I can take a look?

You don’t have to select anything there. All you have to do to publish a post is to click the publish button at lower right in that module.

I’ve tried Chrome, Safari and Firefox. The only way I can publish is through the iPhone app

This is a little involved, but could possibly narrow things down. Or not. :-)
Log into wordpress with Safari and then go to preferences and to the security tab and make sure that javascript is enabled and then close the preferences.
Next go to the view menu and to view menu and to customize tool bar and add the “web inspector” icon. Open one of the posts you are not able to publish and then click on the inspector button and the the inspector will open in the bottom half of the window. Click the publish button and then look down at the bottom right end of the status bar at the bottom of the browser window and see if a number appears in a red circle. If it does, click on the circle and the error console will open and list any errors.
I can publish no problem in Safari, Chrome and Firefox (all latest versions) on my Mac running 10.6.8, so this might be something about your Mac. The hard part can be figuring out what it is.
