Can’t purchase new domain

  I am trying to buy a domain ($5) and mapping ($10). When I click on add a domain and go through the steps, no matter how many times I try, I end up with just a charge for mapping and no charge for the domain name. This to me means my purchase of the domain name isn’t going through?? What can I do about this? I am trying to buy associatedartistsny.org, which I owned through GoDaddy until today, when it expired. (They wouldn’t process a transfer so I just let it expire.)

  It could be that the GoDaddy records aren’t updated and WP.com thinks you’ve already got that domain name? In any case, I think you should contact staff on this one http://support.wordpress.com/contact
