Hi @mellerd, The color set in the custom CSS for the titles and body text of posts should not carry over to the emails sent out to followers.
Can you take a screenshot of one of the emails and upload it to your media library so I can take a look?
Also, is this happening in a particular email program or is it happening for all?

I’m seeing the title in blue on your screenshot and then one line of text. Is there text below that line of dark text that is white?

I’m going to email you at the main admin email listed in your account. Can you then forward one of the notification emails to me so I can have a look at it?

Hi there,
I noticed that you are using inline CSS in your posts — in other words, you are adding code to the post itself to change the color of the text there.
Can you please try writing your post without changing the color of the font in the post editor? Instead, please try entering custom CSS to change the color of the text there. That way, the color won’t be used in the emails that go out to your followers.

how do I do that? what CSS do I use.? I guess I dont understand:)
I was writing my text in white so it wasnt visible on the emails. So what am I supposted to write it in? If I use another color other than white, then the blog itself wont be the color I want.
I have it gold now just so people can read it in the email. -
You can use custom CSS like this to change the font color in your posts:
#posts { color: white; }To add custom CSS, go to your My Sites page and click the Customize link under the blog’s title. In the Customizer, open the CSS section and in the CSS editor there, you can paste in your custom CSS.
That way, you don’t have to change the color in the post editor itself, so the text will be visible in the emails but white on your blog.

Since you made the text in the post gold separately, you’ll need to remove the gold color from that text completely before you’ll see the white text in the post. One way to do that is to use the Paste as Text button when you paste the text into the post editor. That will remove any extra formatting (like font color) from your post’s text so your custom CSS is used instead.

ok so I hit the plain text button. still gold on blog. I want it white so do I need to change it to white? thx for help
-
No, you don’t need to change it to white. Instead, please highlight all of the text, copy it, and then delete it from the post editor. Then, click the Paste as Text button and paste the text back into the editor. That will remove the gold color from the text.

ok so it fixed a problem but not the problem. now I can at least read this text in the email because its black.
but the problem is the format changes. In my blog post, its white text with black background..but when I posted it, it was white background with black text..and even with blue theme. so it looks nothing like post I want.
