Can’t recover account b/c email no longer valid
-
I was MIA on my (old) WordPress site for a long time, but about a year or so ago, I started updating it. Didn’t think to update my email, which I lost after switching internet providers. Suddenly, the site demanded that I update my password, but the password recovery info went to a nonexistent email. And no, I don’t have a backup email or number for this site. I haven’t purchased any plug-ins either, so I don’t have any receipts.
The only thing I can possibly do–beyond the obvious proof that I am the published author of the content listed on this site–is reveal details about the currently unpublished content on the site.
FYI: part of the reason I am desperate to get this site back is that some of the unpublished content was written directly into the site and not on my computer, so it is lost. YES! I am that stupid!
Please, please, please, if anyone can help me. I would love to recover this website. Thanks in advance!

Thank you. It feels like you have told me something helpful, but alas, I don’t program. I don’t think I could make the changes you are suggesting without breaking a brain cell.
