Can’t recover my account

  I made a wordpress acccount many years ago (i last posted in 2012). Now I would like to get access again to post new things and clean up some things.
  In the meantime I have forgotten the password and I no longer have access to the email it was created with as that email account was deleted.

  Is there any way I can gain access again?

  What is the username of the account you need help?

  If the account is for a WordPress.org site, I recommend contacting your host for help first and posting to the WordPress.org support forums if you need more advice afterwards.

  Once I know the username, I can double check whether the account is connected to WordPress.com or not.
