Can’t register a new blog

I am a registered user and I’m trying to register a new blog but when I link to the sign up page,
it is totally blank. Does anyone else have this problem? It’s frustrating. -
I am having the same issue on IE8 and Chrome! Haven’t been able to find anything as to what the issue is…

I’m also having this problem I’ve tried refreshing the page several times opening it in a different browser everything I can think of glad to know it’s not just me

Same thing for me when I just checked so it looks like a hiccup in the back end.

My best guess is that it may just be a Server update that’s not allowing the feature at the moment. We’d best try an check tomorrow ;-)

I’m not able to register a new blog as well. Tried to since a few days ago. I thought WP prohibited me from registering for some reason. Email support but so far no answer yet.
Oh well, I hope WP can provide feedback on this soon.

I’m not getting the blank screen any more, but it doesn’t progress beyond the loading page.

Indeed I have. The suggested fixes (clear cache, try different browsers) haven’t made any difference so I’ll ask them again…

I’d like to alter the name of the blog I currently use, without losing any content. Does anyone know if that’s possible? I’ve had 50,000 hits under the current name, and I don’t want to lose those stats, but my format is changing, so I want a name that reflects the new format instead of the old.

BTW I’m aware that I can change the name in the header, but I want the URL to be different without losing content. Is that even possible?

@mfogelsong – No – passinglovenotes.wordpress.com/ can’t be changed – you can register a new name and export the contents and import to your new name but your stats start at zero – there are some stats counters that you should be able to start the count at other than zero – but your WP Stats will restart.

Some users were experiencing this issue yesterday. We have made some changes to fix this since then. Please try clearing your browser cache and try again if you’re still having the issue.
