Can't remove akismet/restart my site

  I tried to upgrade Akismet at my site scotttracygriffin.com. It crashed my site, which I’ve been unable to recover, with the following message:

  Warning: require_once(/home/content/47/8436347/html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/class.akismet.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/47/8436347/html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/akismet.php on line 47

  Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/47/8436347/html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/class.akismet.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/47/8436347/html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/akismet.php on line 47

  I went to the wordpress security page (under my gravatar) and disabled akismet by clicking on the gear, but that hasn’t solved the problem. Please advise, thanks, Scott

  The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
