Can't remove Archives or Meta from sidebar

  I have tried a couple themes and have had this same problem, I can’t remove the Archives or Meta from the sidebar. They seem to stay there even though I didn’t put them there. Can you help??

  These are Default widgets, and will disappear once you add another widget.

  If you want no widgets, try adding a blank Text widget.
