Can't Remove Domain Connection

  • Unknown's avatar

    I had previously connected my wordpress.org domain (www.leumedia.com) to my wordpress.com account (leumedia.wordpress.com), but since I didn’t renew my domain and hosting, I can’t access my settings to remove the connection so I can use my wordpress.com blog by itself. Is there a way I can get these links seperated? Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    There is no domain mapping upgrade for leumedia.com here at WordPress.COM
    The Admin login link for https://leumedia.wordpress.com/ is https://leumedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin

    Yes – thank you for clarifying that, I am looking to remove the self hosted site as it is no longer in existence.

    @thelamma,

    I’ve removed the connection for http://www.leumedia.com. You shouldn’t see it any longer on your side. Let me know if you need anything else!

    Thank you very much, I appreciate that.
    However, I’m getting something very weird – when I go to https://leumedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ it tells me that i don’t have permissions and can’t access the dashboard, nor does it show up in my blog list. However, I logged out and in (to make sure I didn’t forget about making another account), and it let me in. As soon as I leave, however, I get the error again.

    Currently, you’re logged in under thelamma. The site leumedia.wordpress.com is actually owned by another user account. I know you mentioned logging out and logging back in. Do you have any other accounts you could login under at WordPress.com?

    You were correct – I had used another email associated more specifically to that site. However, when I went to the users list, no other account was listed – how is it that I saw the dashboard momentarily with my other account? That doesn’t sound good.

    I apologize – that last post (leumedia) was my other account. I forgot to sign out when I commented.

    It looks like you’ve actually added both accounts to the site leumedia.wordpress.com within the past several hours. Previous to that, the account thelamma should not have been able to see the site: leumedia.wordpress.com/wp-admin.

    When you say “…it let me in. As soon as I leave, however, I get the error again”, can you clarify what you mean by “let you in”? Were you able to load the page listed above?
