Can’t Remove “Fiverr” Box On Home Page
-
On my “Home” page there is a box from Fiverr, which states “Grab a professionally designed logo in 10 minutes”. There is an arrow for a drop down, which says “Hide This”. I then have choices and I keep choosing to hide it “forever”, but it just will not go away, no matter how many times I try to get rid of it, it remains of my Home page. I have cleared my browser, and tried different browsers, but it just will not budge.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
What is the address of the site you are referring to?
I am checking the homepage of anonmousy.wordpress.com and am not seeing a Fiverr Box. Were you able to successfully remove it?

Hey there,
Many thanks for the screenshot. I’ve taken a look at this and it looks like this a known issue we’ve encountered within the last few days.
I’ve added this report to the tally we’ve got open internally on getting this fixed.
Thank you in advance for your patience!

I am experiencing the same issue on bookstooge.blog. Please get this taken care of. I have a paid plan just to avoid ads from wordpress and I expect things to work.
-
Hi @bookstooge , just to clarify, only you, as the site administrator/owner, see the prompt on your dashboard. Your visitors do not see ads.
Having said that, the prompt for designing with Fiverr should be removed when you dismiss it, but it’s not working as expected. Our developers are aware of the issue, so they’ll be working to fix it.
Thanks!

That circle has been spinning for hours and nothing is happening. I’m glad you brought this up. When I bring things up I have to just get used to it and not complain about faulty WP things. That’s why I basically never bring issues up anymore.
-
@randomdude9 are you having the same issue? We’ll add your report to our internal tracking if that’s the case.
If you’re having a different problem than the Fiverr prompt not hiding, please open up a new thread with that information: https://wordpress.com/forums/?new=1
Thanks!

Yes, same issue with Fiverr. And no, I don’t report problems anymore. I’m either ignored, told to just get over it, or the conversation only goes to if it’s .com or .org. As soon as I specify, the conversation ends. So I’ve given up. Honestly not sure why I still use WP.

Hi @randomdude9
Thank you for confirming that you are having the same issue with Fiverr. We’ve added this report for our developers to look into. While we don’t have an ETA for fixing it, these reports help our developers troubleshoot. So we appreciate you letting us know.

Edit the home page template: If the “Fiverr” box is not part of the theme’s design or a plugin, it may be part of the home page template. In this case, you’ll need to edit the template file to remove the box. This will require some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP. You can access the template file through your WordPress dashboard by going to Appearance > Editor and selecting the home page template.

Almost 3 weeks and counting. Kind of like it is deliberate. Hmmmm, would wordpress do such a thing? I mean, with their stellar rollout of the pro and starter plan, the complete circus that surrounds everything concerning money, how can I do anything but trust them?
-
@bookstooge Yeah, this is why they don’t like hearing things on their site don’t work, or updates are stupid and unimportant. This is why I don’t come here to complain about their product anymore. I always get ignored or yelled at. This is not the WP of the past.
