cant remove footer

i have upgraded to custom css but im using dreamweaver and when i plug this code in at the bottom of the page before the end scrpit my footers are still there what do i do now?

Dreamweaver is absolutely not going to help you. The CSS upgrade is not recommended for people who don’t already know how to edit CSS.

this is what i wanna get out Blog at WordPress.com. Theme: White as Milk.
Entries and comments feeds. Valid XHTML and CSS. of my page i have some things about css and i do have the upgrade so how do i get that off of my page if i can? -

I just set my test blog up with white as milk, deleted everything from the CSS edit window, clicked “add to existing…” and pasted the following into the CSS edit window and previewed and the footer is gone
#footer { display:none; }I’m not sure what you are doing wrong.

ohh i found out what i was doing wrong i was clicking on the view original stylesheet and not typing it in one more thing is there anyway for me to get the search box out?
