Can't remove jetpack monitoring after site removed…
-
I decommissioned one of my sites that previously had jetpack monitoring on it (and no longer have the domain or access to anything related to it so I can’t just bring it back up). I start getting notifications of it being down (and back up which makes 0 sense and is a bug).
I log into wordpress.com and go to mysites to remove it. It isn’t listed but I’m still getting notifications. This is curious since the site IS listed in the “blog you need help with” above.
How can I remove notifications (or the entire site) from my account when it isn’t listed.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The “Manage your email settings” link in the email goes to my wordpress.com dashboard with a “Finishing set up…” overlay that never finishes.

Hi there,
See: Disconnect Jetpack Sites https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Please read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
wordpress.org support
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
See also https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ for app support.re: Jetpack support
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
However, if you can’t find help at either one then you can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service -
This looks like a boilerplate reply… Sigh.
There is no confusion about wordpress.com vs wordpress.org. This only involves wordpress.com (which is what this forum is for – forums.wordpress.com).
I’ve previously found most of what you linked, including the “Disconnect Jetpack Sites” instructions. Unfortunately, since the site is not listed under “My Sites” for the account it was registered under, I can’t remove it. I know it was under that account because I only have one account and the notices come on that email address. Ergo, the UI to handle this can’t.
So, short of adding an email rule to block the messages from jetpack.com, how can I disable this unwanted notice to my email when the account for that email doesn’t list the site any longer?

Yes indeed that is my pre-written copy paste answer as we do not provided Jetpack support here at wordpress.COM. Have you filed a Jetpack support ticket?

I’m filing a ticket with Jetpack.com right now. I don’t really care how I get the notices to stop, just that I stop getting emails every 10 minutes that it is up and down.
I think the confusion arises from the fact that the only UI I have to jetpack is via wordpress.com or on the site (now gone) via the jetpack plugin settings.
