Can’t remove link in Pages Sidebar
-
Yesterday I was using a hack described in another blog to verify my site to google. ( http://jalaj.net/2007/05/21/get-your-wordpresscom-blog-google-verified/ ) After completing the steps, I went to delete the page, which worked, but the link is still in the sidebar. I’ve tried adding the page again and deleting, but that didn’t work. I’ve removed the Pages widget and added it back in, but that didn’t work either. Any help would be apprecieated, that link is long and ugly. LOL
The sad part about this is that I found out a few minutes later that it’s not necessary in another post.

I’m sorry, there I was trying to make sure I put everything needed in and forgot that. http://artistsoftheroundtable.org/

Not a problem. :)
Actually I’m wondering about it as well because if you’ll note, it links back to the URL for your blog and not to the URL of the page.
Best bet would be to send in a feedback from your dashboard and ask staff to take a look at the issue. Be sure to point out that the Page links back to the blog URL and we find that strange.
I had noted that you are a Comcast user. We’ve had issues in the past where folks using Comcast see one thing on their blog while teh rest of us see something different. Some Comcast users sit behind broken Proxies and I had wondered if this was another example of this but I do see the broken Page link.
Hope this helps,

Ok, thanks drmike, I was hoping to fix this myself without having to bother them, but oh well.

Sheesh, right after I send in a feedback to the staff, I end up fixing the problem by accident. I made up another page (that was supposed to be a post), deleted that page and now the google link is gone. (scratches head) Oh well, thanks to everyone !
