  I can’t seem to renew my domain

  Hi,

  The domain q8dreamers.com expired on 1/1/15. For a few weeks, it was possible to renew the domain. However, at a certain point, the domain enters a period known as redemption. During that period, the domain may be sold at auction by the registrar. You can read a bit more about the process here if you would like:

  The good news is that it doesn’t appear as though the domain was sold to someone else. We have two options:

  1. I can try to restore the domain to your account and renew it. Since the domain is in redemption, you would need to pay the $80 redemption fee charged by the registrar in addition to the registration fee (total of $98).

  2. We can wait for the domain to complete expire and then try to re-register it on your account for the normal price ($18). Generally, this happens after 90 days or so (we’re at 81 now). The main caveat is that someone else could register it in the meantime which would mean you would lose the domain.
