Hello!
It sounds like you want your site content displayed on the Google search page. You can do so by applying SEO Tools to your site. Enable the SEO Tools by purchasing a WordPress.com plan for your site. You can select a WordPress.com plan per your requirement here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/.
You can learn more about how the SEO Tools work here: https://wordpress.com/support/seo-tools/.
Let me know if you have any further questions! -
hi, thank you. so i must pay for this kind of feature, meaning this isn’t completely free? the SEO tool is the only way to do it? is there a free way to do this? thank you.

@switchbacksamuraii no, you don’t need to pay anything for your blog to be in Google. If you have your blog set as “Public”, then Google will find you, because every time you post something WordPress ping Google. It can take time for new blogs to be shown in Search Engines, sometimes months, but you may be able to speed it up by adding your blog to Google Search Console.

@switchbacksamuraii here’s the link for instructions how to verify your site with Google https://wordpress.com/support/site-verification-services/

@anonmousy hi, thanks so much. i actually can’t find my website at all. i entered “switchbacksamurai” in google search and didn’t find anything. can you please confirm this? i only heard of the search console, i will try that out tonight.
-
@anonmousy hi i just verified my site using the google console, but i don’t see anything in the search yet.
-
@switchbacksamuraii you just need to be patient now. Google Search Console will not show any data straight away. It all takes time. Just keep posting your articles, as Google likes regular, interesting, content. It can sometimes take a few months for Google to properly index a site, but you may find certain blog posts appearing in search very soon. You can also verify your site with Bing. Don’t worry, Google knows you are there. One little tip I have learned personally over the years, is to get someone to search for one of your blog posts, or your blog. This can trigger Google bot to visit your site, and then you’re off and running. Good luck.
