Cant search my blog even after setting the privacy settings as friendly

  Hi,

  I have recently created a new blog site https://shashvatkumar.wordpress.com/
  and have followed the directions for set up the reading privacy setting s to Open for Search Engines.
  However, I am unable to search my blog in google even with a search query as ‘shashvat kumar photography’ or ‘shashvat kumar wordpress’.
  Am I missing one something here?
  I have gone through the topics for Google Analytics and SEOs however, to my understanding, WordPress by itself takes care if the sitemaps and meta itself and I need not to copy paste or upload any google sitemap to wordpress.

  Please suggest if I am missing on something critical here or its just going to take some time before it gets indexed in Google.
  Also, every time I make any changes to the site as for widgets or pages or posts, the website if Saved and Published automatically. or Do I need to publish it by some other means?

  It takes 4 to 6 weeks to index a new site and that is only if you have something worth indexing – it looks like you have a one day old site
