Can’t see a blog? It goes to my own instead of the one I want to see.
-
I often visited sugardelirium.wordpress.com , and recently it changed so that I would need to sign up to WordPress to see it.
Well, I signed up, and now whenever I type in that url, click on a link somewhere, or go to my favorites to try and get there, it brings me to MY homepage – zenayru.wordpress.com
What the heck? I want to see that blog! It has some of my favorite recipes on there. D=

@timethief
The first time I tried the link it took me back to my admin page. The second time I got the login page (while I as logged out) saying, “This blog is protected, to view it you must log in.” -
-
Yeah, that’s what’s happening to me, Thesacredpath.
I never got any notice saying the blog was deleted.. But.. I guess that has to be the only explanation?
-
Log out of your wordpress account and then try going to the site and logging in and see what happens.
-
Yes, that’s it. If you have the email of the blog administrator, you could drop them a line and ask for an invitation. Otherwise you’re out of luck.
-
WOW! Guess what. This is so weird I typed the url into my browser bar up top and clicked. Again I got ” The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available.”
I agree that it’s a protected blog but I’m going to login under another persona and see what happens. -

See raincoaster’s comment above. If it’s private, they will have to “invite” you for you to be able to view the blog.
-
This time I used IE7 and I got
“This blog is protected, to view it you must log in.
If you don’t have a WordPress.com account, you can get one in seconds.”I also note from the Google cache that there are no entries after October and that one of the page tabs said Shop!!

Guess I am out of luck… Any ideas how I can get in contact, even though I don’t know the person?
Thanks everyone for being so helpful.

There is no way. This is a deliberate choice. There are no work arounds. WordPress respects the bloggers privacy choice, as well they should. No private information will be gained from them.
