can't see Add Plug In in my dashboard

  I am just creating a new blog and want to use a privacy plug as it will be used by a specific group. Would also like to add a cart/paypal plugin but I can’t find any Add Plugin in the menu. I am using Penscratch theme. thank you.

  That’s because you do not have a WordPress.ORG software install and are reading stuff that does not even apply to your WordPress.COM blog at http://beverleynolan.wordpress.com/

  Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you prefer, you can hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and move your content into a WordPress.ORG install https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

  thank you very much. that’s really clear. I had suspected it might involve and upgrade or shift to wordpress.org.
