can’t see admin options to site to make changes, update, etc
-
Hello, I tried to update my site and messed it up pretty good. I haven’t made any changes for a long, long time and I may have clicked on the update link/option without backing up anything. Now, I cannot see any of the admin features when I login to the actual site through the admin login. When I visit the site, it looks very stripped down from the original version.

Hi there,
Apologies, but we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host inotarizeit.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting.
To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions.
Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at your current provider. As a result we are not able to offer backups and historical data for sites hosted elsewhere. Of course, we would love to host your site here, where we we are happy to help further. But as it stands now, we can’t assist.
You definitely have the option to move your site to us so we can provide in-house help, and we offer a migration plugin that will help you move your site to our managed hosting in just a few clicks. Unfortunately though, as it stands now, we are not able to help since it is hosted elsewhere.
The good news is that your hosting provider may be able to help with a recent backup of your site. I recommend contacting your current provider for further assistance since they are in the best position to help. Thanks!

Thank You for your reply. It is a little confusing – to me – with all the options. I did contact my current host provider and they said I would need to purchase tech support credits to put toward assistance and that they have “…word-press experts on staff to assist…” So, I do think I’ll be taking you up on this offer to migrate to your hosting. Do you charge fees for tech support? I will research this in the meantime. Thank You.

We don’t specifically charge extra fees for support; our plans include various different forms of support, including this forum; but we also offer email and live chat depending on the plan. There’s a little information about that in our Getting Help on WordPress.com guide.
I had a quick look at http://www.inotarizeit.com/ now and I see what you mean about it looking very stripped down! While we don’t have any access to see what happened on the site, it looks like you might be using a ‘page builder’ plugin (which, if I understand correctly, is called Beaver Builder) to build your contents; potentially that needs updating too.
Since you have that page builder plugin, it might be worth looking at our Business plan should you wish to migrate here. The Business plan lets you use plugins and custom themes on a site hosted here, and includes things like a dedicated daily backup/restore for your site and access to live chat 24/7 for situations like this where things go wrong and you’d need help figuring out what caused it. We also have a Move To WordPress.com plugin that (once you have admin access back for your site), you can use to migrate the site here.
In the meantime, another resource you could use while your site is with your current hosting provider are the free community forums of WordPress.org (which is where the WordPress software comes from). They may well be able to give you generalised advice to help you get your admin access back:
