can’t see categories

  I have categories that I cannot see on the blog. I even tried to create a new category then add my link and still does not show up????

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The site linked to your username is not a wordpress.COM blog. If you are talking about a wordpress.COM blog, then we need a link to it please.

  I see three categories listed and went through about three pages of your posts and did not see any categories on posts that were not in the sidebar widget.

  Do remember that categories will not show up in the categories widget until they have been assigned to a post and that post has been published.

  They were once there, I had several blogs I follow- my favorite stuff etc. actually they are under catergory links and nothing is showing and then I tried to just add a regular category with the links I like and still did not show???? everything has been published and they are not showing.

  Links to other blogs and such are not under categories. Categories are for categorizing your posts.

  Links appear in the links widget. WordPress has been updating the widgets. Go to appearance > widgets and drag the links widget back into your sidebar.

  First off thank you for your help…ok so I have done that, now what? how do I get those links to other sites or blogs to show? so what is the link category for verses just categories?

  I see your links widget now. It’s the widget right under “my twitter” and it has a number of links in it.

  When you write a post, you can select the categories that you want assigned to a post in the “categories” section which is typically to the right of the text area in the post editor.
