Can't see 'email' on posts
-
I’m trying to allow authors to email links to the pages and posts on my web site. I’ve selected email under General>Sharing options but I don’t see it on any pages or posts. Could it be that the template doesn’t allow it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The Email sharing button doesn’t “allow authors to email links to pages and posts” on your site. It allows the individual clicking on the button to send that post or page to an email address of his/her choice.
On your Sharing Settings page, at Show Buttons On, you’ll find check boxes in front of the following options
Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results
Posts
Pages
Media
ProjectsI don’t see any sharing buttons on your projects so I presume projects is unchecked. Second, I find no posts on your site for the years I’ve checked (2010,2011, 2015, 2016). Do you have any published posts? However, your Bio page does have sharing buttons and is missing the Email button. Are you certain that you activated that button. If you added the button recently, did you save the change?

It sounds like you looked at my professional site – not the many sites I use for teaching. I haven’t created projects for my teaching sites.
I actually do want to allow individuals to click on the email button on the page or post to send a copy to an email address. That’s what I’m trying to do. I notice the email link on some of my pages. Is it possible to add the email link to a post?

Hi,
I was referring to the only site you’ve identified here.
The blog I need help with is lfrenchillustration.wordpress.com.
Before we move on to your latest questions, let’s establish which website you are referring to. Is it a WordPress.com site?

I didn’t identify any site when I sent the email – I used the form – but I guess that would be my WordPress default.
Nevermind. I guess there’s no help.

There is help. There’s plenty of help available here at the forum, and lots of willing and able volunteers ready to offer that help. But in order to help us, please identify the website that you are referring to. I have no way of know which site is your professional site, and which are your teaching sites. And don’t have any idea which website you are referring to when you say

Only lfrenchillustration.wordpress.com is identified in that post, but apparently that wasn’t the one you were referring to.

Which email?
Which form?
Default what?
