can't see Freshly pressed, Read blogs or Topics

Waht’s happened to the main page? I just have a blank spavce underneath where Freshly Pressed, Read blogs and Topics should be.
Here are the URL’s but as I said just blank.

I’m permanently logged in and have been using the site several times today..
Okay I’ve just tried FIrefox and it’s working on there.. any idea why this happens so suddenly…weird! but thanks

I don’t advise that and if you intend to remain permanently logged in then you have will have to clear your browser cache and cookies frequently.

Okay but I think I’ve been permanently logged in since about December and have never had any problem before. So why now? and what difference does logging out make exactly?

I don’t know why this happened. I know if the browser you’re using or a page you’re viewing is displaying problems, I need to clear the browser’s cache. If that doesn’t fix the problem, then I clear the browser’s cookies.

http://wordpress.com/#!/topics/ is what I’m seeing and the topics aren’t loading in the box, it is firmly shut :(

Same problem here — there was a thread like this yesterday, with no answers or solution. And no, clearing the cookies, restarting browser, restarting everything didn’t change it for me.

trying another browserIf those do not work Staff need to know (1) how are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. (2) And exactly which browser and version of it are you using. I am having the same problem – it started with no changes in anything else, and everything ese and all my other access is fie. I have Internet Explorer 9.0.6, I deleted cookies, etc., confirmed cookies are enabled, and restarted – still can’t get anything to come up for Topics, Freshly Pressed etc. from the home menu.

I was able to access Freshly pressed posts separetly by using my search engine and going to: http://freshlypressed.wordpress.com/feed/ – not the same format, but at east I’m not missing them.

Here’s something intressting – when I’m logged out, I can see Freshly Pressed etc as soon as I sign in, I lose it. Done this 3 times now.

I’ve been having the exact same problem and it’s really frustrating. I do not want to download another browser onto my laptop, especially since this is the only site I am having problems with and it was working fine until suddenly it wasn’t. I’m very frustrated because I paid extra for my web address, I should at least be able to read blogs!

I have tried all the trouble shooting methods shown above with no effect. I don’t think it’s the ISP because I am using a laptop with wireless connection and I am having the same problem at home and at work and those are two different connections. Also, I am not having this problem on my PC at home, only my laptop even though it was working fine on both computers last week.

Here’s what whatsmyuseragent.com tells me: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:8.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0.
Unfortunately I can’t really update Firefox (my system is an ancient one, rather difficult to keep in balance — this is what works, so it has to do …), but I’ve encountered the problem with different browsers, too. -
By the way, I’ve asked around — there are quite a few rather unhappy people with the same problems who are just not posting in the forum.

I’m having the same problem on my iPad. Does the fact that it is suggested to Flash and Java mean that it isn’t supposed to word on an iPad? Is there an alternative?
