Can't see live changes

  I am currently editing a new menu in live preview mode and nothing is changing.
  I am able to make all changes to my new menu, but nothing is popping up on the screen.
  I am working under appearance > customize > menus
  – I then select the menu I want to change but I see no changes on the website screen itself.

  How am I able to see them as I edit?
