Can't See Live Preview – Third-Party Cookies Enabled

    I would like to try a different theme for my website but am unable to see a live preview at all, even with different themes. I could do so several days ago though. I’ve enabled third-party cookies. Please advise.

    You don’t need to use the live preview function. You can simply click “activate” and all of these functions can be accessed from your dashboard.
    Appearance > Header
    Appearance > Background
    Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
    Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
    Site Title and Tagline > Settings > General

    If you want to change themes on a free hosted WordPress.com blog you must be logged in under the exact same username that registered the blog and who is the Admin of the blog. Note that no content is ever lost when changing themes.

    Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
    browse themes until you find one you like and click “activate”
    or type in the name of the theme you want to use and
    click the “activate” link when it appears

    After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes.

    If you are using the “Try Now” preview mode for the paid Custom Design upgrade, https://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-design/ the settings related to that upgrade will save but they won’t show up on your blog unless you have purchased the upgrade.

    To go back to the free options, go to Appearance → Themes → Customize → Colors and click the “exit the preview” link in yellow at the top of the panel on the right. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/why-customize-themes-doesn%c2%b4t-work?replies=5#post-1316880

    Thanks again for your very rapid response, just in case you didn’t receive the reply that I’ve just sent you.

    As I said, I was really astonished at the speed of your response, and had wanted to say thank you as soon as possible, after trying your suggestion to use ‘activate’ and found that it worked. The only problem was that I encountered another problem when I tried to undo the new theme, but got the message ‘The page you want cannot be displayed’ instead.

    It’s a wonder I’m able to log back in to thank you. I will try after this to undo the new theme. I had cleared my cache so I don’t know why I’ve been encountering this problem repeatedly, like with what I told you about the ‘live preview’ earlier. I even have difficulty with viewing my website, with the same message appearing.

    If you know what is causing my problem, please do let me know.
