Can’t see my photos

I have a question that I have been trying to resolve for hours. Does anyone had the problem of uploading photos, and they are just white squares? The file name is there, they have been crunched, they are in the Media Library, if there is a caption, it is visible. Everything is just as it should be, except there is no image. I have tried to do this with about 30 different images, all jpegs, small and large. Oddly enough, it worked this morning, but has not worked since, even with the same image. The one image I could upload and actually see, is no longer working.
Any and all words of wisdom would be most welcome. Anyone who walks me through this successfully and who lives in the New York City area, I will take them out for a very nice dinner.

I think we need to know more about the files you’re uploading. What are the filenames, for instance? What is the format?

It’s day two and I still can’t see my masthead and images. I created a temporary photobucket account and updated some of the images on page #1. That’s the only reason they are showing. Any help or direction you can give is appreciated.

@xenophiliac, it appears that you have several duplicate images in your media library. If you inserted one of the image copies into a post and then deleted the copies from the media library, that would also cause the image in the post to break. I also noticed that some of the code in your posts refer to local computers addresses (such as http://users/nina/Desktop/…) and those links will not work. I see that you have also contacted support http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ so I will help you there.

Hello! I am now totally confused. When I turned on my computer this morning, all my photos were visible. On the blog, in the Media Library. Now they are not!!! As soon as I tried to upload a new image, they all disappeared. Will someone please tell me what is going on? The desire to post photos seems fairy simple, and it’s turning out to be a huge ordeal.
Does it matter who I sign in as? “Xenophiliac” or “Nina”?
Please help me, I’m just sitting here at my computer unable to do anything.
When I contact support, I get an email every 8 hours or so asking a question. I know this is a volunteer thing, so I understand there is only so much people can do. Is there any service out that I can call and pay someone? I just want to be able to post a photograph. Nothing very complicated.

Too, I can’t see the masthead. Are you able to see them (images in stories & masthead) on page #2? Hi team,
It’s day 3 and I’m still unable to see images on my sight. I had some contact from a WP support member, yesterday, at my email account. She said she could see all images and the masthead. (Remember, out of concern, I created a temporary photobuck account and updated the images on page #1. Yet, on page #2 and throughout the site, I’m not able to see any ghettobraggingright.wordpress images, images in the widget boxes that are hosted by wordpress & I still can’t see the masthead. I can see your pictures just fine. I suspect it may be an image server issue, but in the meantime, have you tried clearing your cache and cookies and restarting your browser?
(Oh and please consider linking your blog to your user name as explained in the sticky at the top of the forums. It will make it easier on forum volunteers to help.)

Glad to help! But if you linked your blog, it’s not showing up in the forums. (Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.)
