You only appear to have published one post so far. https://pittalugapr.wordpress.com/2024/05/23/customer-service-marketing-personalizado-vuelva-manana/

There are also a few sample posts that need deleting. Perhaps change your front page from an “About” page to the “Posts” page?

Thanks for your reply. Indeed I have published just one post but I can’t see it except in Reader (on a browser, the Mac desktop app doesn’t show the post either). I have tried the solution you mention but the option does not seem available, dropdown menu only lists “About” and “select”, nothing else.

Hello again. Don’t know what I did but I have tried what you said, and my display is even more confusing; I think I deleted blocks, or parts of text, couldn’t really tell. I must say this tool is not intuitive at all and does not encourage anyone not knowledgeable enough. I will keep on trying until I can see what I need, which is my intro and posts all together in a scroll. Thanks.

    Hello @spindazzle,

It seems someone needs to log in to your dashboard to check how currently the settings are inside. I’m tagging this thread for the attention of official support staff who can provide more detailed assistance. I hope this helps resolve your issue soon.

  • Hello there

I can’t make my posts visible, I have tried everything

Could you please share more on how you want to set up your site? Do you want to display posts on the homepage/frontpage? Or do you want a custom front page as it is now (about us page set as front page) and display posts on a separate page?

If that is the case, please create a new page here and select blog layout from the predefined layout as shown here This new page will automatically display your posts.

Then you can add this new page to the navigation block from Appearance > Editor. You can learn more about the navigation block here.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions, as we would be happy to further assist you.

Thank you, I’m not a web design professional and all this just adds to my natural aversion to webpages’ inner works.

Hello, thanks for your reply. I’d like my page to display the current welcome text and immediately afterwards (by scrolling) my posts. A simple notion, just like, say, Facebook. So far I wrote just one post, I haven’t written more due to the complexity of the system and what in my opinion is obscure language more akin to jargon than anything else. What you have suggested is absolutely non-understandable for me. Isn’t there an easier way to write a blog? Otherwise I think I’ll hire a professional for this.

  • Hello there

I’m not a web design professional and all this just adds to my natural aversion to webpages’ inner works.

I understand there’s a learning curve if you are new to something. WordPress is the most popular software for website building as it is easy to use but it has some learning curve for people new to it. I highly recommend taking this free course on getting started and Creating your site. You can take these courses in your free time at your own pace to learn more about WordPress and how to build a website.

I’d like my page to display the current welcome text and immediately afterwards (by scrolling) my posts.

You can edit the About Us page here and at the bottom add a blog posts block to display posts. A block in WordPress is a discrete element such as Paragraph, heading etc that you can add to a page to add that type of content.

Once you have added the blog posts block on the homepage, it will automatically start displaying the recent posts. Please make sure to check this doc on adding blog posts block to the page.

What you have suggested is absolutely non-understandable for me. Isn’t there an easier way to write a blog? Otherwise I think I’ll hire a professional for this.

Writing a blog is easy and straightforward, at the moment you have four post here and you can create new posts by clicking on “Add new post” button.

If you want to hire our highly professional team to build a site/blog for you, please check our design service here and let us know if you have any questions.

Hello again. Thanks for your detailed explanation, it seems organised and straightforward; I’ll take a look at it when I have some available time. So far I could say I understand the basics of everything and by instinct guide myself through, but I always end up somewhere unintended and I can’t really figure out the logics in the system.

I appreciate your comprehensive help but regarding web design at the moment I can’t afford a professional team that charges in US dollars. I’m not from the US and everything I hire or purchase needs to be priced in local currency due to prohibitive exchange rates and government regulations on credit card use for non-local services. I’ll bear it in mind though.

    Regards

  • Hello there

So far I could say I understand the basics of everything and by instinct guide myself through, but I always end up somewhere unintended and I can’t really figure out the logics in the system.

I understand and admire that you are learning and progressing in your website journey. You can always post your questions in the forum to get help from the community.

I’m not from the US and everything I hire or purchase needs to be priced in local currency due to prohibitive exchange rates and government regulations on credit card use for non-local services. I’ll bear it in mind though.

We support these currencies so please take a look and let us know. I highly recommend taking our free courses here to learn more about WordPress.com and how you build a website yourself.

Thanks for your reply and sorry my answer to it comes so late. My currency is not listed. I have decided to delete this as I don’t have neither the time nor the desire to navigate such a complex environment. Will probably hire a programmer somewhere else in the future but now I am not really interested. Best regards.
