I am an actor an I built my own site @ ‘actorsteveleeds.com ‘ which is at worpress and for some reason no one can see the site.
Can someone explain what wrong , and how I can fix it

Apparently, your domain mapping upgrade has expired. You need to purchase it again and map the domain back to your WordPress.com site. This thread is tagged for staffs. Someone from them will respond here to assist you. Please wait patiently for a moment. I recommend you to subscribe this thread so as that you can notice easily when they respond.

Okay that sounds great,….
I was with Go Daddy, but they failed to auto renew…..I will just go with you .. How much and where do I go from Here… remember,..I am not savvy about this web stuff, maybe some help could get me there faster….

Your domain still appears to be registered with GoDaddy. If you think auto renew failed I’d recommend contacting GoDaddy to find out for certain because mapping an expired domain won’t work. Once you know for sure, just reply to me here and we can look at the next steps.

I am very confused…I called Go Daddy and all is Okay there.. I checked the domain myself in the manage DNS.
So,… now I called GoDaddy and they claim Word Press is the issue, so I am back to you to help me get my site up and running. I have lost tons of auditions because of this dilemma…. did I do something to disconnect my site from the internet??????
Please help me…If I need to remap my site please let me know and I will try and find a video to help me

Ok, that’s good! You suggested GoDaddy had failed to auto renew so it was important to check that the domain is still registered — mapping an expired domain wouldn’t have worked.
So,… now I called GoDaddy and they claim Word Press is the issue, so I am back to you to help me get my site up and running.
Your Premium plan expired and included domain mapping for actorsteveleeds.com. For the domain to work again, you will need to purchase a new plan and domain mapping for actorsteveleeds.com. I’ve added the upgrade back to your account so please renew from this page as soon as you can:

I decided to leave the site alone for now … I do NOT WANT TO UPGRADE..please make sure I am not charged the 99.00 dollars….
I started with the free plan for life and now I want to consider my options

No problem, you haven’t been charged for the renewal. A new plan and domain mapping can be purchased at any time. Until then you can continue to use the Free plan. In the meantime, feel free to post here if you have questions about your options.

Using the free plan doen't get me on the internet. If it does, then why can't the casting people see my site now.

Your Premium plan included a domain mapping upgrade which connected the domain actorsteveleeds.com to your site. Without it, people will not be able to access your site using that domain. Instead they will need to use this link:
https://actorsteveleeds.wordpress.com
Using the free plan doen’t get me on the internet.
Regardless of which plan you have, your site will still be visible and available for people to view. In this case, your site now has a different address because you are no longer mapping a domain as part of your plan.

Okay I got that much….but I am still confused…did your company cause the issue or was it Go Daddy ,…More importantly …please help me fix it back to ” actorsteveleeds.com” can you explain what I need to do ????
I tried remapping it on your site but it wants me to pay and upgrade,…..there wasn't an option to keep it “free” -

Neither us or GoDaddy caused the issue, it happened when your plan expired (we sent an email to let you know it was due for renewal).

To do that, you will need to purchase a new plan and add domain mapping back again. You can use any paid plan — Personal, Premium or Business:
If you have any problems, let me know and I can send a payment request and add the upgrades to your account once it has been paid.

Domain mapping is a feature of paid plans. While you can have a free site, it won’t be possible to map a domain on the Free plan.
