can't see or access domain administration

I’m trying to move my domain to another webhost that I already use and pay for, but I can’t find the domain administration page to acquire a transfer authorization code.
I’m trying to follow the instruction, ” The next step is to log in to your domain manager, from Settings → Domains in your dashboard. Find the section titled Domain Administration, and then choose Transfer ownership to another registrar from the menu below it.” I don’t see “domain administration” anywhere on that page. Am I doing something wrong?

Blog url: http://jzimbabwe.wordpress.com/ and I’m trying to move it to jess.thezimbabwes.org which I have hosted at fatcow, but which seems to currently redirect to the wordpress.com site. I can’t seem to break that loop.

The subdomain jess.thezimbabwes.org is currently mapped here with the CNAME record directed to us.
You’ll need to remove the CNAME record through your DNS provider, which is probably your hosting provider.

Dear Mac:
Ah, okay, those are new terms for me but I think I just did that. (From my webhost domain manager, I removed the CNAME record of that subdomain that pointed to the wordpress.com blog.)
Does it take some time to take effect? The subdomain still seems to redirect me.

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

Excellent. I still get redirected to the wordpress.com blog, but I can now access the admin login on my self-hosted server, and your explanation of the 72 hour period until everything switches over makes sense. I’ll be patient.
