Can't see slider in the Forever theme?

Hello,
I’ve recently upgraded my theme to Forever, however can’t seem to get the image slider on the homepage to work.
I have checked the “stick this post to the front page” box under Visibility during post edits, have set a featured image for that post, and have also made sure the photo was at least 887 pixels wide or larger – but nothing shows. Instead, the selected posts station themselves as the first posts on my blog, and not in the mentioned slider.
Is there something I am doing incorrectly? Right now I’ve set all the posts back to normal, so there are no “sticky posts” enabled.

a) Ideal size is width 888px, maximum height 355px.
b) Please go to Media > Library, hover over over a couple of images you’ve set as featured ones, click Edit, copy the file URLs, paste them here so we can check the images. -
Ok – I figured it out!!
I’ve been clicking “Set Featured Image” in the box just outside the post edit area towards the bottom of the screen, which brought me to the standard image upload screen – but I was not choosing “Use as featured image” WITHIN the upload screen BEFORE I finally selected “Insert in post”.
Works like a charm – thank you for replying!!!

Yes you can have a featured image on a Page. Click Pages > Click Add New and look in the far right hand column. Find the Featured Image module and click the “set featured image” link.
