Can't See Stats, Write a Post, or Contact Support on Chrome

I’m having trouble doing virtually anything on WordPress via Chrome. I can’t load comments, write a post, contact support, see stats, or view my subscriptions. The page just loads and loads; I can see the WordPress.com header, but the rest is just the pulsing gray lines. Occasionally, it will say. “Sorry, we had trouble loading…” or “Sorry, we had trouble fetching,” but most of the time it just continues to load perpetually.

I have already tried making sure Javascript is enabled and clearing my cache and cookies. It looks like it’s working on Edge, but I find edge annoying and I don’t understand why it’s not working on Chrome. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi there,

To clarify, the issue is only with Chrome, yes? Edge and/or Firefox allows you to see your site just fine?

If so, I would like you to try the following steps on your Chrome browser:

    – clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
    – Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.

Does this allow you to access WordPress.com as normal? If not you may also want to try disabling any browser extensions (ad blocker, etc.) you may have installed as browser extensions can also sometimes conflict.

Let us know if those steps worked for you or not. If you are continuing to have issues we can take a closer look. Thanks!
