Can’t see theme thumbnails

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve just started, and am trying to view the themes available for a free site. When I go to the Themes page and search, I am given a number of results but no thumbnails; there’s just a row of little vertical lines which are not clickable. I then tried to click from the ‘help’ page on Themes through to the Themes Showcase, and the link didn’t work. I’m on a Mac laptop using Safari. Is the page not working, am I doing something wrong, or is it just a bit rubbish?

    Hi there,

I’m on a Mac with Safari 12.0 as well and am able to see the themes in the Showcase. Do you know what version of Safari you’ve got?

You said you “go to the Themes page and search” – what search term are you using? The theme browser auto-updates for me, and I can see the theme thumbnails with a number of searches I’ve tried.

Have you tried refreshing the page/clearing your browser cache? https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

Also make sure that JavaScript is enabled: http://enable-javascript.com/

Let us know if those items don’t work for you and we’ll continue to help!
