Can't see top nav menu text

My theme allows me to have 2 menus. I have set up my social buttons on the left (they work great) and added my pages on the right but can’t figure out how to see the text even though the hotlinks are there and work. Any idea why this is? The WP tutorial seems pretty straight forward so I’m not sure what I am missing here.
