Can't seem to get started customizing my home page.

  I am brand new to Blogging and this wed site and am getting a little frustrated. I want to learn and start a blog, but help is required. I have activated twenty twelve. I was able to modify the title and font, but when I press EDIT below to modify the text in the “ABOUT” section noting happens. Please direct me to the proper location. Is there a video to show how to get started. Words can be very confusing at time to newbies like me.
