Can't seem to import all the posts using Xanga xml files

  Hi, I’m trying to import all my xanga posts to my wordpress.

  There’re 8 xml files in total. I followed the instructions and imported one by one from 1 to 8.

  The first 3 are fine. But then the blog posts of the 4th file doesn’t seem to appear after an confirmation email was received.

  I then tried to import the next xml file which is the 5th, and it was imported successfully, only that the 4th is still missing.

  After that I imported 6-8, none of the posts inside was imported.

  I’ve tried to delete all posts and done it all again, the result was the same.

  Please help with my case.

  I’ve tried to import it all again.

  Now most of the blog posts are successfully imported. However, two particular periods of posts are noticeably missing, which are posts between March 2005 and July 2005 of the 4th xml, and that between September 2004 and December 2004 of the 6th xml.

  What can I do to retrieve them?

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry for the trouble you had importing those files. Sometimes the Xanga importer has a little trouble — in that case, you can also try importing those files again using the WordPress importer under Tools > Import > WordPress in your site’s dashboard. Please try to import the 4th and 6th XML files again using that importer.
