Cant seem to insert rows in table now?

Reviewed the tutorial but it doesn’t address my issue (at least not that I can see). I CAN engage the table tool bar but I CANT click into a cell in the middle of the table to allow the insertion of added rows.
I could show you the view but I dont see a way to upload an image.

Are you able to add a column if you follow the steps in the video I recorded here? https://d.pr/v/RPRg4p
In that video I first select the table block in the “block navigator” at the top of the page, then I am able to click on any content within the block
From there I can use the block settings to add a new column either before or after the column I have selected.

The steps your taking are exactly what I’m trying to do. But I can’t click into any of the cells in the table. I need to add a row about halfway down the table of 123 rows. Oddly – every now and then, when I select the table block, the cursor will be sitting in the 1st (top left) cell. But I cannot relocate it to lower rows.
Tried on 2 different windows 10 PCs.
I’ve never had issues before – editing several times a year. The last successful edit to the table was about 60 days ago.

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Browser Chrome 85 – latest
Cleared cache
Disabled all extensions (although they have always worked with them on in the past)When I selected table block I did get a cursor in the top left cell (which as I mentioned I did get periodically).
I could not scroll down and click into any other cell and when I tried I lost the mouse focus in any cell. So I would need to reselect the table block and start over.
I finally was able to move down the table, row by row, using the down arrow and finally did get a new row inserted but I have to say the process is pretty lame that way – and again, if I clicked at any time doing this, I had to start all over.
This process used to be a piece of cake. I’m thinking something is not correct with some update in recent times.
Thanks for the help – I’m thinking I still need to hear that back from the forum in hopes of “fixing” the process.
