can't seem to renew my subscription

I’m trying to renew my subscription with the same level plan, but am getting the error message: ‘This subscription was originally purchased by another user. Please ask the subscription owner to renew the subscription.’ I’m not sure what this is referring to as I’m the only user who has been paying for the subscription since I opened it. I had already updated the credit card info, so it should have worked.

Ok, I figured it out. I just needed to log in with the same email address that I opened the account with.

re: renewing upgrades
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.

The owner of the site can transfer the site (and/or upgrades) to another account by adding another username account as an Admin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

We use tag search to assist when answering support questions. Example: renewing upgrades . I posted above to assist other Volunteers. (I have been here for over 11 years answering questions as a Volunteer and don’t want to be on Staff.)
