Can't seem to reverse the 'private' option
-
Hi,
When I created my new blog, I checked the “I want my blog to be private” setting, thinking I could reverse that option once I would be ready to publish. However, my “about” post does not show up in search engines, even though I have followed these instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
What am I doing wrong? I thought of deleting the site and starting over, but I don’t want to lose my address.
Thank you for your help.
PWThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can view your About page so it looks like your settings are correct.
How long has your blog been set back to public? It’s possible that the search engines have not yet indexed/crawled your blog since it has become visible. This takes a couple of days or weeks depending on the search engine.

Thank you for your prompt reply and this information, mirimary. I did everything yesterday, so I will wait a little more.

You do not have to wait at all. Blog visibility settings can be changed and take instantly. http://philippewillems.wordpress.com/ is a public blog.
However, my “about” post does not show up in search engines, even though I have followed these instructions:
It takes time for search engines to discover and index your content. Posts attract search engine attention and Pages don’t despite the fact search engines are notified of the publication of both. All search engine issue sare between the blogger and the search engine.
