Can't select theme, and would like to transfer domain name.

Two questions:
1) I tried to set up a WordPress blog following the steps. As soon as I picked a theme, it took me back to Step 1 and the tagline information I had typed was now missing. I went through this same loop several times and finally gave up. I never completed the process. I’m trying to pick the theme ‘Confit’.
2) I have a ‘dot london’ domain name registered via GoDaddy. I would like to use this name for my WordPress blog. What should I do?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
1) I tried to set up a WordPress blog following the steps. As soon as I picked a theme, it took me back to Step 1 and the tagline information I had typed was now missing. I went through this same loop several times and finally gave up. I never completed the process. I’m trying to pick the theme ‘Confit’.
All right, let’s get you set up with Confit. Please make sure you’re logged into WordPress.com. Then, click on the link below:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/confit/
Click the blue Activate button in the upper right side of the page.
That will make the theme live on your site.
Once that’s done, to check that your tagline is correct, go to the following link in your Dashboard:
https://threeorangesblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
Add your tagline, then make sure to click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
2) I have a ‘dot london’ domain name registered via GoDaddy. I would like to use this name for my WordPress blog. What should I do?
You can map your GoDaddy domain to your WordPress.com site. Here are those instructions:
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Thanks. So far so good. I activated the theme and mapped my custom domain name to my WordPress.com site. However, now when I click my domain in WordPress it goes to the GoDaddy site. I want to use my own domain name on my own WordPress site. I don’t want it to be held on GoDaddy. What should I do?

Hey there!
You’re part way there. You’ve added your domain mapping here at WordPress.com. However, you still need to adjust your name servers at GoDaddy. This is like giving GoDaddy your site’s address, so they’ll point your domain to your WordPress.com site.
You name servers should be:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comWhen I do a search for your public registration information:
http://who.is/whois/http://threeoranges.londonI see they name servers are still pointing back at GoDaddy.
I searched GoDaddy’s site and found this information about how to adjust your domain’s name servers:
https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664/setting-nameservers-for-your-domain-namesChoose the link listed for Domain: Here, Website: Elsewhere.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

I made the three nameserver changes in GoDaddy and these are listed as active, so it seems to have been successful. I purchased the theme Moka and am trying to customise it. If I click ‘Pages’ I see an ‘About’ page selected. If I click the View option for the About page, it takes me straight back to the GoDadday site! What am I doing wrong?

Hey Laura!
When you change your name servers, it can take up to 72-hours for the adjustments to propagate. This means that things don’t always appears correctly immediately.
If the name servers were only recently adjusted, you may simply need to wait a bit for things to appear properly.
You can check in on the status of those name server changes here:
http://who.is/whois/threeoranges.londonWhere you currently see:
Name Servers
ns07.domaincontrol.com 216.69.185.4
ns08.domaincontrol.com 208.109.255.4When things are working properly, you will see ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, ns3.wordpress.com.
Please check in if you do not see your site appearing correctly after that 72-hour window.
If you’d like your WordPress.com address http://threeorangesblog.wordpress.com/ to be visible while your custom URL propagates, you can do so by making it primary here:
https://threeorangesblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Then, when you custom domain propagates, go back to the link I provided and make threeoranges.london your primary domain once again.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.
