Cant set up a blog site. Willnot accept typing

    Setting up a blog site.
    I cant type into the box that asks (blog name) . wordpress.com I can type into the next box which asks for a title. Is this related to the setting son my computer? I run Vista and use Internet explorer
    So far I have registerd as a user on wordpress.com and would like to take this further. My registration is stantonrj

    I haven’t heard of this problem with Vista before, although it is common with Safari. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies and reloading the page. Also, don’t use capitals.

    The workaround is to login to wordpress.com then open a new window/tab and digit the address you wish to create in the address bar: if the blog does not exist you’ll be taken to the creation of a new blog with that name.
    Still, you should report the problem with browser version (probably 7.0) to support, so that they can have a look at it.

    maybe aou are using firefox as a browser with activated search while typing. If so instead of typing in the field you see your typing at the bottom left. That happens sometimes although it shouldn’t. If that is the case thenjust deactivate that option in the preferences of your browser.
    (Sometimes a simple restart of your browser might help)
