Can't Set Up Featured Slider On Oxygen

Hi, I’ve done the following to setup a featured slide show of my sticky posts using the info provided under the Oxygen Themes page:
“The Showcase Page template offers a featured slider for Sticky Posts. To use the template, create or edit a page, and assign it to the Showcase Page template from the Page Attributes module. If you’d like use the Showcase Page template on your front page, go to Settings → Reading and set the Front page option to Static Page. Select the page you just assigned the Showcase Page template to as your front page and then choose another page to serve as your blog page.”
I’ve created a new page called: “showcase” but I’m not able to get my sticky posts to appear as a slider on my front page. There’s no info on how to go about doing this anywhere, and am wondering how to go about making this happen. Ideally, an Oxygen theme featured slider should look like this: http://oxygendemo.wordpress.com/
But no matter what I do I just can’t get my sticky posts set up as a slider on the front page.I’d really appreciate some assistance with this problem. Thank you for your time and help.

There are two things that have to be done to get posts to show in the slider:
1. The post has to have a featured image set.
2. The post has to be set as a sticky post.

Hello again,
After 4+ hours I’m now finally able to enjoy seeing my sticky posts as a slider!!! Thank you so much for your help. I think the key was to remove all my featured image photos that I had prior to switching to the Oxygen theme (I use to have another theme) then uploading them again from my computer, then unclick and click again the option for making my posts “sticky”.Thank u again. I really appreciate your time and help :)

Back to square one? I can only get 4 sticky posts on the slider no matter what I do to try and get more sticky posts onto the slider. Not sure what is wrong. It really is buggy….

You are welcome, and staff need to work on this. You should not have to upload featured images again when switching to Oxygen, and you should be able to select them from the media library.

Featured images must be 750 width to appear in the slider (size is from memory, please check). That’s a big image!
Perhaps this is the issue. Maybe when you re-up your images you are re-upping originals which are full size, which is why it solves the problem.
Basically, check all images are large enough :)

Yes, I think u may be right. I just went in and checked a sticky post that was able to be part of the slider and took a look at its featured image. Then I checked the size of the featured image for the sticky which was not able to be part of the slider. The sticky post that made it as part of the slider had a larger scale featured image than the sticky post that didn’t make it as part of the slider. I’m going to continue adjusting the featured image scale size and see if I can get all the sticky posts that I want as part of the slider. Thank u for your help! :)
