can’t set up free wordpress.com domain

  I’m trying to start a blog through the free plan. On step 2, where it sets up an address, there is no option for the free wordpress.com domain. I’m only offered paid .blog, .com, etc. domains. How do I get the free domain?

  Try typing a word or phrase rather than a full domain address into the box at step two. The free address is below the two paid for options. You can continue to fine-tune the free address offered (remove numbers, add a word) before accepting.
