Can't set up the home page template from the promenade theme

  I’ve seen the theme tutorial done by audiotheme on youtube but the features that show on the video don’t show on my blog dashboard, the biggest problem is that i can find the home page so i’m not able to set up the widgets like gigs and videos, and I can’t set up the appearance, witch is a big deal!
