Cant sign in to customize theme

  Help. When I open my wordpress page, I see my page. My username and password work just fine getting into wordpress, however, when i try to customize my theme, it sends me back to the log on page. When i try to log on at that point, i get an error message saying user name unknown.

  Any help is appreciated.

  Hi there,

  Your site, http://123trainmydog.com/, is not hosted on WordPress.com, but only connected here via the Jetpack plugin. When you click on Customize in My Sites, it’s not the WordPress.com Customizer that loads, but your site’s own Customizer in the WP-Admin dashboard, so you’ll only be able to access that if you’re also logged into the dashboard of the site itself. Just logging into WordPress.com doesn’t automatically log you into your site’s dashboard, which has a completely separate set of login credentials from your WordPress.com account.

  But it can. Jetpack has a feature called Single Sign-On, which means you give Jetpack permission to automatically log you into your site’s dashboard when you log into WordPress.com. You can activate that option under My Site ->Settings ->Security. It’s the ” WordPress.com Sign-in” option at the bottom.
