can't sign in using wordpress

This is one of many times I’ve asked this question. Almost everytime I need to use WordPress to sign in to a site I get this message: ‘ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password?’. I am signed in to WordPress right now. I don’t have an issue signing in when I’m on wordpress.com. I just can’t use my WordPress account to sign in to other sites like I can with FB, G+, twitter, etc. Some sites only use WordPress so I have to come back here and change my password, again and again. PLEASE HELP!!!

May I ask, where are you WordPress websites hosted? What are the URL (web addresses) of the WordPress sites?
I’m guessing you’re hosting WordPress sites somewhere like GoDaddy or BlueHost or Host Gator. Each WordPress website you create and host somewhere is going to have it’s own unique username/password (which you choose when you create the site). These are all separate from the WordPress.COM username/password you used to login to this here forum.

I do not host any websites. I only have a WordPress account because some sites require WordPress to comment/post on articles. There are also some sites that require having a WP account to create an account on their site. Usually google+, FB, or twitter are options. But on the few sites that only use WP, I almost always cannot sign in. I know that I am entering the correct info because I can sign into my account at wordpress.com. I’ve actually reached a member of the staff here, and they wanted me to provide a link to the site I was on when trying to use WP. But by the time they responded, it had been so long that I could no longer remember. Only once out of the many times I’ve come here for help with this did an actual admin reply to me. I go to the page where it states to “ask one of our engineers for help”, but my question just ends up in forums. You are the only member that has ever replied to me. And i thank you very much for that :)

Hello Grandhuff,
Can you please help me as well?My cache is always clear but I CANNOT SIGN INTO WORDPRESS USING ANY EMAIL and cannot create a new account cause they say the email is already in use there!!!
Any advice is urgently welcome. Thanks in advance

http://www.staydrysystems.com/ is not hosted by wordpress.COM and we do not provide support for it. We cannot help you here at wordpress.COM because that site is not hosted here and we do not provide support for sites we do not host.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
