can’t stay with the status quo, with tabs for text or html

What you’ve described as the ‘Classic Block’ doesn’t provide the options that existed before. I’ve had blogs on WordPress for years now. My modus operandi depends heavily on being able to switch back and forth between text, with its facility to insert media, blockquotes etc; and html which performs the essential fine tuning.

How can I continue to work exactly as I did before?

Is it true that installing the Classic Editor Plugin will continue to offer the pre-block facilities?

Is it true that the only way I can get this or any other plugin is by upgrading to the Business Plan. I’ve been on the free version for many years as it’s an entirely personal blog with few readers, which i would like to go on existing after I’ve gone.

Can there not be some deal whereby I can buy the Classic Editor plugin for a one-off fee, perhaps for a limited time so as to perform essential edits on existing posts.

Otherwise, fourteen years of posting will have to wither and die. I’ve been putting my entire writings here, and feel desolated by the loss.

Hi there, If you previously had the Classic Editor active in the MySite Editor interface, you should see the Classic Editor in WP Admin now.

Are you not seeing the Classic Editor when you navigate to your site’s WP Admin dashboard> Posts> Add New? (temp screenshot)
