Can’t subscribe to site’s RSS feed

  I’m unable to subscribe to the RSS feed of a WordPress site: https://www.darkoptimism.org/. I can see the feed is valid (https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=httpswww.darkoptimism.orgfeed), but trying to add it just gives a generic error in the WordPress.com backend (i.e. ‘There was an error when trying to subscribe to https://www.darkoptimism.org/feed/.’).

  Is this an issue on the WordPress.com site? Please advise.
