can't transfer content

I followed the instructions on how to export content from my boho child travel site to boss motherhood site but i keep getting this error sign ‘This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number
Try another file or contact support’. what does it mean and how can i proceed with exporting the file i received via email?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

- Are you to trying to export to another WordPress.com or WordPress.org blog?
When did you receive the email? Have you downloaded the xml file successfully?
If yes, did you receive a .zip file in your email?
When you have larger blogs, the .zip file will include more than one export file. When importing back into another blog, you’ll need to unzip the file and import each of the .xml files individually.

I am transferring content to another WordPress.com site
I received the email about 1hr ago. I downloaded the zip file then tried to upload it straight away to be imported

When you have larger blogs, the .zip file will include more than one export file.
When importing back into another blog, you’ll need to unzip the file and import each of the .xml files individually.
Please let me know if you are still facing an issue after importing each of the .xml files in the .zip file.

Ok, as a non techy person i finally worked out what it meant to unzip a file. Took me a while but i got there. Thanks for the help
