Can’t transfer domain ending in .com
-
I recently started the process of creating a WordPress blog and transferring my domain to WordPress.com but ran into an error:
‘We are temporarily unable to support transfers for domains ending with .com. Please try again later or map it instead.’
Is there any further info as to what’s causing this issue and when it might be resolved? I’d prefer not to map the domain as I’d like to transfer it altogether. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Answered my own question, apparently it’s related to the GDPR changes, which is causing some registrars to be unaccessible while they update for compliance. Further info here:

Hi there,
At this time transfers are still disabled, yes. Please map the domain for now, and then you can try transferring it towards the end of this week by which point everything will hopefully be working again.

Just wanted to let you know that the domain transfer option is available again. Please follow the instructions at the link below, and let us know if you run into any trouble:

Hello, I’m trying to transfer my domain to Squarespace and when I try to access my domain I receive a message stating “Domains are not available for this site.” Can you help?

Hi @standoutseminars, standoutseminars.com is registered through G Suite, so you will have to log in through G Suite to make a transfer. This link will give you more information on that: https://support.google.com/a/answer/54693?hl=en
