can't understand zemanta installation instructions

    Hi
Need help installing Zemanta. I’ve spent an hour trawling through WordPress forums & Zemanta forums to no avail. I’m quite computer literate, but I find the installation instructions incomprehensible.

“1. Unzip to wp-content/plugins on your server”

I’ve downloaded to my Ubuntu operating system. It shows me a zemanta zip file (in an archive manager or something, I guess.)
There’s nothing that says “unzip”. Do you mean “extract”? There’s an “extract” option.

I don’t have a “server” that I know of. I use mobile broadband. That’s my server, right?

Is “wp-content/plugins” supposed to be a file on my computer? Or a location on my WordPress.com blog? Either way, so far I can’t find anything by that name.

“2. Activate through “Plugins” menu in WordPress”

I see no menu by that name on my WordPress.com blog dashboard.

Would be most grateful if anyone can help me get this function running, as the related articles is most important to me.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ignore those instructions as they are for WordPress.ORG installs.

Zemanta can be easily re-installed via the browser extension right now. Go to > http://www.zemanta.com/download/

Thanks a lot for your prompt response.
That’s the very page I was working with. The only WordPress installation option there is “WordPress.org”

Is there no WordPress.com installation for zemanta?
Isn’t there supposed to be a “Plugins” menu on my dashboard?

I clicked the Foxfire installation instead, clicked download, it seemed to work. But after re-starting the browser as instructed, I see no sign anywhere that looks like the application. I was taken to a zemanta page that wanted me to fill out a form with my contact. I filled it in because I didn’t know what else to do. It did nothing. I still see no application.
Thanks again for your help with this.

Do NOT click the WordPress.org Plugin link.
Click the browser of your choice link.

Thanks for your blinding speed & efficiency!
So… does that mean that the answer is “no” re: zemanta plugin for WordPress.com?

(And I guess as for any problems with zemanta working on my browser, I’d have to talk to zemanta or firefox for that…)

Please just click the Firefox button and proceed.

NOTE: WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
